Wheter streetart is a nuisance, blatant destruction of property, political messaging or art that you can appreciate; Streetart has become abundant since the 1970s and has been a part of the human history since cave paintings. Streetartists take legal and physical risks to put up their works around the world. But most of what you see on the streets or in subways are uninsipiring and obnoxius lettered filled walls, a tag here and there. Nothing of value.

Art is appreciated because it is evidently hard to make, not everyone can make it and not everyone even want to make it. Great artist grant the consumers something, be it inspiration, discovery or rest. When you appreciate an artpiece you could be inspired to make something of value yourself. You could discover something about the world, yourself or the artist. You could even rest your eyes on something visually appealing. Great art has something of value that each and everyone of its viewers can gain from.

This obviously includes streetart wich is just art taking place in the streets. However Streetart has something fundamental which other forms of art need to force for it to be visible. A rebellious attitude, which can be compared to the Hip Hop mentality. The existance of streetart defies the law. Even a tag filled wall, which to some is just nonsense, screams of defiance. Streetart also ignores traditional painting rules. Streetart makes use of it's environment and often becomes a part of the street instead of being the centerpiece on a wall.

TIMELESS wants to pry it's way through mega corporations who bring no creativity to the industry. We strive to bring more than clothes that will get thrown away in a year. We are defying the logic of the fashion industry, deviating from the uninspiring fast fashion standars of today. Designing clothes from my bedroom I want to make a couple of hundred of high quality pieces that I have put my heart and soul into. I want to defy these industry giants

and make art. You can't massmanufacture art, art is hard to

make and thats why poeple appreciate it.

MF DOOM

Hip Hop is known for it's extensive discography, comprising everything from mumble rap paired with chinese flutes to slam poetry like bars over classical piano. The art of sampling is a big contributor to the huge spectrum of sounds Hip Hop produce. Sampling is when a piece of recorded vocals or instrumentals from one song is ”chopped up" and incorporated into a different song. Just like music, fashion is a amalgamation of different genres, cultures and aesthetics..

To combine different genres was not something unprecedented before Hip Hop. However Hip Hop made the unconventional conventional. By ignoring norms Hip Hop compiled it's beats from all corners of music, classical to jazz. This boundry-breaking revelation is what made Hip Hop such a varied genre. Sampling is just a tool, but without the free thinking and expression of Hip Hop the genre would soon become stale and predictable. Hip Hop is now the leading music genre and I would advocate it's because of the broad range of sound coming out of Hip Hop. The root of this is the Hip Hop mentality; Ignoring norms and creating something unexpected.

The Hip Hop mentality has integrated into other parts of this cultural movement, fashion. Before the 90s and the rise of Hip Hop, wearing athleasure as a non athlete was unthinkable especially not while going grociery shopping. To ignore social and economcial norms that are well established just to pull of a fire outfit, that is the Hip Hop mentality. Combining high fashion brands reserved for the upperclass with baggy jeans from skater brands. TIMELESS first collection is trying to capture this. Merging the extravagant, oversized and colorful aesthetic of Streetwear and Hip Hop with my hometown of Stockholms often minimalistic approach. TIMELESS seeks to have fun and bring more creativity to the fashion industri.

Like the legendary rapper MFDOOM, whom has multiple alter egos and centers his albums around those personalities, TIMELESS also aims to center our collections around an aestethic which is embodied by one of our friends, this time it's NOAH.

Having a handful of alter egos inspired by comic book villians which he brought to life in his own vision in different albums MF DOOM is a true world builder.

His beats wonky but brilliantly disoriating, with a strong raspy voice spiting unpredictible rhymes like no other, mf doom is one among few.

But Dumile may have been a clever villian in real life as well. On multiple occasions this man sent mf doom dupes to his concerts. Reports even say he has had mutiple concerts at the same time.

Two years ago we got the tragic news of the passing of Dumile, the man behind the mask. In retrospect this man was built different.

Just like Dumile made albums surrounding his characters TIMELESS aims to create a similiar creative world where different friends of ours become the pillar of a story and an aesthetic.
